SUPPORT FOR EDUCATORS
My approach to facilitating adult development is based on respect for each individual’s unique biography, personality and style of learning and working. This initially involves listening deeply and sensitively to the thoughts, feelings and intentions of each person so as to understand them better. This enables me to foster more awareness and self-compassion in each person, as the foundation for their self-directed growth. I see my role as encouraging people to accept and embrace who they are, and discover clarity and renewed energy for the direction of their lives.
Over the years I have provided a range of support services for educators. These include:
Professional development and education in many aspects and practical strategies of Waldorf Education
Practical skills in artistic media and crafting
Coaching and mentoring
Building collaborative relationships with collleagues and families
More recently I have developed an intensive and careful approach to teacher development and appraisals. In this regard, I offer non-judgemental Developmental Appraisals for staff and educators, which start with self-evaluation and supportive individual coaching. Building on these, I work with the whole faculty group on how to support the development of each educator, how to collaborate better, and how to identify innovative practices that would enhance the children’s experiences. Out of the identified needs, challenges and aspirations of each educator, we explore ways of transforming our practice together.
My recent clients include:
Fitzroy Crossing High School (PD and support in creativity for educators at the school)
Dandenong Ranges Steiner School Early Childhood faculty (Appraisals)
Ignite Minds Family Daycare Scheme (Education Leader)
The Revillaging Project (Support and mentorship of project leaders and lead educators)
The Steiner Seminar (Conducting the Nourishing Early Childhood course for teachers and parents)

In addition, my experience in founding and managing schools and community organisations, as well as in programs for youth development, enables me to provide practical guidance and mentorship to individuals taking on new initiatives.
