Dancing From the Heart

Human beings are born to dance. The anatomical structure of their bodies is designed to move in incredibly diverse ways. We can flow, undulate, jump, droop, explode, travel across the floor, leap into the sky, roll, and more. We use our bodies to express our souls - our passion or anger, our love and gentleness, our peace, our humour and quirkiness, our uniqueness as well as our sense of community and belonging. It is vital for physical, emotional and spiritual health to dance throughout our lives. Traditional societies still do this and it is up to us in the west to reclaim this amazing human capacity.
